"Mountains bow down... at the sound of your name."
That lyric takes on a whole new light when you're singing it to God from 14,000 feet (supposing you could sing)! At Encounter Renewal Retreat MOUNTAIN EDITION, where you'll push yourself harder and higher than you might have ever before, your physical pursuit of the mountain rides tandem with your spiritual pursuit of the Lord!
On July 17-21, 2025, pilgrim adventurers will embark on a low-structure, high-intensity quest with intentional kingdom focus and fellowship. Primitive camping at 10,900 ft. at Guanella Pass Campground 1.5 hours west of Denver, CO. Optional adventures include a 3.5 mile high-altitude lake hike, whitewater rafting, and hiking various 14,000-ft mountains such as Mts. Bierstadt and Big Sky and Grays and Torreys Peaks. We'll spend the weekend enjoying the Creator in His beautiful creation! Brothers and sisters striving together as we worship the Lord, and the mountains will be our sanctuary.

A Word of Caution - Hiking/climbing 14ers is no joke! It can involve a physical and mental strain that is impossible to replicate at lower elevation. While the mountains selected for this experience are some of the "easier" 14ers available, there is no such thing as an easy 14er, especially for the uninitiated! We will take every precaution to be prepared and safe, but there is inherent risk of injury and death when climbing mountains. Participant discretion is advised.
